When arts rise...

Sanaa Gateja works with traditional, locally resourced and recycled materials at his studio and gallery, Kwetu Africa, in Lubowa, Kampala. His canvases are made from pieces of barkcloth which he stitches together by hand, often emebellishing his work with found and scrap objects, resulting in highly tactile pieces. Moud Kasirivu runs his own small studio and shop in Kampala. A self-taught artist whose work is often characterised by three interwoven or closely spaced figures, he has exhibited in Texas, USA. View his gallry here
